Safety and Accuracy
Does Berry replace my pediatrician?
No. Berry is not a doctor and does not replace talking to your pediatrician. While it can offer general information about symptoms and support, it cannot provide medical diagnoses. We have built-in guardrails to warn you if a conversation steers toward a concern that requires professional medical attention.
How is Berry vetted?
Berry has been shaped and tested by our team of pediatric experts and data scientists. This process is led by Huckleberry’s Director of Pediatric Expertise, Amber LoRe, who uses her dual background in structured logic systems and pediatric expertise to help ensure Berry is realistic, safe, and parent-centered.
Does the AI ever make mistakes?
We strive for accuracy, but because Berry’s content is generated by AI, it can occasionally be incorrect. For example, some content may not apply to your specific situation. We encourage you to always use your parental intuition and verify facts.
If you encounter a response that seems incorrect, unsafe, or inappropriate, we strongly encourage you to provide feedback using the thumbs up or thumbs down options available on each response. This feedback is an important signal for our team. We have a recurring review process in place where we continuously analyze this data to identify issues, improve response quality, and strengthen safety over time.
Privacy & Data
How is my data protected?
We take your privacy very seriously. Huckleberry protects all data shared in the app with bank-level encryption, using the same high-level security measures found at financial institutions.
Do you sell my data?
No. We do not sell your data to third parties, and your conversations are never used to train public models. Your data is private to your account and handled in accordance with our strict data privacy policies.
How do I delete my chat history?
You have full control of your chat history. At any time, you can request that Berry’s chat history and memory be deleted by sending a customer support ticket.
