Overview
Berry can remember useful details from past chats, making its responses more personalized and relevant. As you chat with Berry, it can remember helpful context from earlier conversations, such as your preferences, milestones achieved, or other things you’ve mentioned to it.
How is memory different from chat history?
Chat history and memory are not exactly the same thing. Chat history is the visual display of your past messages and shows the last 12 hrs of conversations. Memory, on the other hand, lets the model retain key details from previous interactions and reference them in future chats.
How long does Berry keep saved memories?
Memory is stored separately from chat history. This means that even if you no longer see the visual representation of chat conversations, Berry will remember useful facts about past conversations to ensure continued personalization in responses.
What kinds of things can it remember?
Berry won’t automatically store everything — only key, useful details. It may remember:
- Facts you share (e.g., routines, household information, allergies, etc.)
- Preferences (e.g., tone, style, topics you care about)
- Milestones or challenges you are working through
How can I delete Berry’s memory?
To request data deletion, you can send a customer support ticket to request chat history and memory deletion.
How long does Berry manage memory across devices and sessions?
Memory persists across sessions and devices (also users, if you share an account). This means if you use a different session or device, it won’t lose that memory.
How do you keep Berry’s memory private and secure?
We take your family’s privacy very seriously. Huckleberry protects all data you share in the app with bank-level encryption. That means we use high-level security measures commonly found at financial institutions to keep your private information safe. We do not sell your data to third parties. Your data is private to your account and handled according to Huckleberry’s data privacy and security policies. And you can always request to have Berry’s memory deleted.
How does memory affect Berry’s responses?
Memory helps Berry personalize its responses — for example, recalling your conversation or schedule, remembering your goals, and knowing about current challenges.
Why does Berry bring up old information?
Berry may sometimes remember outdated info. This is because the Berry feature is only aware of what you tell it. It doesn’t know when a fact is no longer current. You can easily update what Berry knows by telling it the updated information or correcting Berry when it’s using outdated information.
